This pilgrimage was established by the well-known Buddhist monk, Kobo Daishi (also known as Kukai). Not only is it popular, it is the most famous pilgrimage in Japan, with a 1200-year history. Why not join us for a trek to temples No. 13,14,15,16, and 17 ? We will first travel by bus to the bus stop nearest temple No. 13, then trek on foot to temples No. 14,15, 16 and 17, then return to Tokushima Station from the bus stop nearest temple No.17. A rain jacket/poncho, hat, and walking stick is also recommended.
