Rules for Using Household Items from T.I.A.

 

Foreign students studying in Tokushima may have difficulty obtaining daily necessities. Therefore, Tokushima International Association (T.I.A.) loans used household items to foreigners of Tokushima..

 

Because the number of foreign students in Tokushima increases yearly requests cooperation from students and college faculty members concerned. People who benefit from the loan system. must adhere to certain rules. Those who do not abide by the following rules will be denied T.I.A. services.

 

1/ The following people can borrow from T.I.A. : Foreign Students, Trainees, and Visiting Scholars enrolled at Tokushima University, Shikoku University, and Tokushima Bunri University.

 

2/ Students using this system (or their professors) must visit T.I.A. and register their Name, Address, Telephone Number, University, and Major.

 

3/ T.I.A. must be notified immediately if the student's address changes.

 

4/ To borrow additional items, students are requested to visit T.I.A. personally.  (Reservation by telephone is not acceptable.)

 

5/ Borrowers must come and take the reserved item within 2 weeks after they have been informed.(If the item(s) have not been claimed within 2 weeks, the item(s) can be rented to another person.)

 

6/ Borrowers of T.I.A. bicycles must:

 

-deposit 3,000 yen (2,000 yen is refunded if the bicycle is returned in good condition),

 

-not leave the bicycle for a long period of time at an address other than the registered address.

 

-pay 1,500 yen to the city if the bicycle is impounded according to municiple ordinance.

 

-notify T.I.A. if the bicycle is stolen.

 

-repair and maintain the bicycle as needed.

 

7/ Borrowed items are not tranferable to other persons.

 

8/ Borrowed items must be returned to T.I.A. when they are no longer needed.

 

9/ Borrowers of bedding must share the cost of dry cleaning:

10/ Borrowed items must not be taken out of Tokushima.

 

11/ Borrowers must come to T.I.A. for small items. Otherwise, borrowers must pay 2,000 yen for delivery. (It costs 3,090 yen for 1 hour of trucking services, 1,090 yen paid by T.I.A.)

 

12/ Please come to T.I.A. at least one week before leaving Tokushima to arrange and return borrowed items. You must pay 2,000 yen transportation fee if items have to be picked-up.

 

The following items are presently available at T.I.A.: Washing Machines, Refrigerators, Bedding, Kotatsu, Electric Heaters, Fans, Bicycles, Desks, Tableware, Rice Cookers, Bookshelves and Single Beds. Please understand that not all items will be available.
