My memorial road
My memorial road is not a real road. It is an English study road. I have
been walking on this road for about thirty years. Sometimes I rested for
a while; sometimes I loitered on the way, but I never stopped following
this road. However, I have a problem. It is the fact that I have not improved
to a certain degree which I had expected. As I am poor at reading and listening,
I try to enrich my vocabularies first. Although the speed of going on my
road may be slow, I will continue to follow it throughout my life.

My Memorable Lane
There are some streets I still bear in mind. During my school days, especially
from the age of 7 to 23, there were a few streets I used to come and go.
Each of them still gives me clear memories of my favorite routine days.
One day, when I was about to be
late for school, I went to school by bike, which was prohibited around my
living area. I don’t know whether I was punished by Heaven or not,
unfortunately I met with a traffic accident. The counterpart was the big
motorbike a young man was driving. Just after the bike hit me, I was thrown
onto the street. I don’t remember the event, or what happened to me, but
miraculously, I was saved without any injury. That was the lucky street to me,
because I am alive now.
At the age of 19, I left Tokushima for the first time to enter university
in Tokyo. One of my favorite streets in my life was the one on the university
campus. The university was located in front of the railway station. Big
ginkgo tees lined the street and welcomed the students who had just come
out of the station. When I was walking along the street, the energy to
study sprouted in my mind. When I was disappointed, the lined big ginkgo
trees gave me comfort.
In our lives, everybody must have some streets or lanes that cannot be forgotten, and each one usually has bitter-sweet memories of your younger days.
